In partnership with Innov8hers, we want to challenge everything from seatbelts to algorithms – and all the other innovations that have been based on a male perspective.Our panel will be taking a deep dive into exploring what women want and need next and how female innovators can deliver on that. We will also be looking at how to support and develop the next generation of women innovators – Innov8hers.

Director General, British Chamber of Commerce

Shevaun became Director General of BCC at the end of April 2021. She joined BCC from the Cabinet Office where she led Business Partnerships. She joined the Government in 2016 and also ran the Inclusive Economy Partnership for HMG.

More recently, Shevaun was the New Ventures Director for Avado, building new businesses in Edtech and founding the Academy of Digital Business Leaders.

She has a passion for business as a force for good., a social impact investor, she sits on the Ventures Advisory Board of UnLtd, and is Trustee of Barefoot College International as well as a board member of Women of the World Foundation.

Maria specializes in Executive appointments for FinTech & Digital businesses and works extensively with high growth Venture, Growth Capital & PE backed companies across a range of Executive and Non-Executive appointments. She also works with larger corporates on digital and innovation focused roles.

Head of Strategy and Business Development, DeepGreen Metals

Erika has diverse interests from creating friendly AI to ending poverty. One of her life’s goals is to help shift our civilization’s attention and capital into civilization-advancing ventures. To figure out what’s worth doing, she co-wrote a book on the future of the human species. Her current focus is figuring out how we transition to a zero-emissions, closed material loop world.

 

Chief Product and Commercial Officer, Simply Health

Katie has had a varied career starting in accountancy at Arthur Andersen, and moving into a variety of Commercial and Customer roles across different industries. The common theme has been a relentless focus on understanding what customers want and need, be that as Commercial Director – Services at British Gas, Customer Experience Director at Tesco and Chief Customer Officer at LV to her current role. Katie is a mum of three young kids, and has three additional Non Exec responsibilities as a NED of Capital and Regional Plc, a trustee of Transform Housing and a trustee of Onside West Youth Zone.

Naomi brings a decade of experience combining innovation roles in large corporations, startups and consulting. She brings together strategic thinking with deep consumer empathy to design products and experiences that users want and that businesses can sustain.

She has a wealth of insights working for leading consumer brands, especially in food and beverages; and in retail banking and pensions (B2B and B2C). She’s designed new generation bank branches, new at-home occasions, and new beverage partnerships.

Being French, based in the UK, she is fluent in both French and English with working German.
